Two Upcoming Readathons

What better way to start of the year than with a readathon?  Here are two that I am signing up for.

Happening on January 4th, starting at 8am EST, this is a 24 hour readathon to help Classics Club members make progress on their lists.  I'm planning on using this readathon to read Native Son by Richard Wright.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 6th and runs through Sunday, January 12th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 9.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team.

I've been able to read so many books over the Christmas holiday so this is the perfect readathon to help me continue that trend once it's back to regular life.

Will you be participating in any of these readathons?

  1. I wanted to take part in both events, but I'll be away travelling on the weekend, so I'm going to miss Classics Club readathon. I will take part in Bout of Books though - very exciting!

I hope you enjoy both readathons!

    1. I'm glad you'll be able to do one! I find it hard to do readathons that fall on the weekend, thankfully this one is still during the school break.

    1. Yes, turning pages totally counts as exercise! The great thing bout Bout of Books is that there is no pressure. Sign up and join the fun and then try to read as much as you can.
