Ten-year-old Elly Verkest is a first-generation Canadian born after the Second World War. Her father, Gaston, is Belgian and her mother, Mina, is Dutch. I'm reading 'Life Is What You Make It' by Carl Mathis. It's off to a rocky start but I'm on a blog book tour so I have to finish it. The verdict is still out on this one.
