Earth Day

In 1970, the first Earth Day was the largest, organized citizen demonstration in U.S. history. 40 years later the importance of getting out the message is just as strong, if not stronger. As Christopher Hume wrote today in the Toronto Star, "To say that the planet must be saved is to state the obvious. But ultimately its fate isn't in our hands, it's more the other way around; our fate is in its hands. If it isn't healthy, neither are we."

In honour of Earth Day, here are some of my favourite green reads.

  3. I would like to add to your list of green books. "Gorgeously Green" by Sophie Uliano. She has also written "Gorgeously Green Diet" plus she has a great website. http://www.gorgeouslygreen.com/

Adria Vasil, who wrote Ecoholic, has written a second book "Ecoholic Home: The Greenest, Cleanest and Most Energy-Efficient Information Under One (Canadian) Roof"

I really liked books, so I just had to mention them too. :o)

  4. Thanks Mishal! I've seen both of those and am interested, but wanted to keep the list to one's I've actually read. There are so many books out there that look really good, hard to find the time to get to them all!
