Welcome to Curled Up With a Good Book and a Cup of Tea!


My name is Shan, I am a Christian, Stay At Home Mum with an amazing husband, a beautiful 5 year old daughter and a very cool 3 year old son.  

I'm a fiercely proud Canadian, born, raised, and currently living in Toronto with a few years spent in beautiful Ottawa.  The more Canadian literature I read the more devoted I am to spreading the word about the fantastic talent we have in this country.  My daughter attends French Immersion school where she learns all day in French, so we are on our way to being a bilingual household.  Once my son starts, I'm sure we'll hear more French than English!


In addition to reading, I enjoy knitting, Bikram yoga, cooking and watching documentaries.  At the end of my busy days I love to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea, if I haven't already fallen asleep in front of the television (we wake up rather early in our home to catch the school bus.)


I review any book I read whether I have purchased it, borrowed it from the library, or received it from a publishing company or author.  I love chick lit, biographies, mysteries, classics, non-fiction, fiction...you know what?  I love books.
